The paint sample looked gray and when I opened the can it looked okay. As you can see I started out happy and hopeful
But after drying the paint picked up a tone in the bathroom that made it reflect slightly purplish. I love purple, but that was not what I intended.

I was also a little bit smarter this time and brought the bath tile with me to hold up against the paint samples.
This second color, while not that different from the original, turned out much better. No more purplish undertones!
Oh and the ceiling was painted an exciting white
