Wisconsin State Fair

The Wisconsin State Fair wrapped this weekend and it was another stomach ache waiting to happen (it's really all about the food of course)

It started as a beautiful day but a scorcher!

First food to tackle... the Funnel Cake.  My favorite each year and it didn't disappoint

We then moved on to Cheese Curds (it is Wisconsin after all, fried cheese is a necessity) and also a Blooming Onion with Ranch Sauce

We then took a walk to try and prevent a stomach ache with all that friend food already in our bellies and had a Giant Pickle to help as well

My favorite animals to look at are the horses, but they were closed for some reason, so we took a gander at the adorable sheep

Awe

It then started to downpour, so naturally we made it back to food again.  I went with the Fried PB&J on a stick.  It was HEAVEN, but then again peanut butter is my favorite food

Sorry for the blurriness, I was so excited I couldn't keep my hands still! Or because I was dripping wet
Now I didn't try the below, a Krispy Kreme Donut with a cheese burger and I believe bacon, I wanted to live to see another day after all.  But the verdict from the eater was that it was surprisingly good!

Due to the rain our State Fair trip was cut short, so we didn't get too much food (I'm surprisingly serious).  The biggest disappointment of the day was that I missed the Deep Fried, Bacon Wrapped, Tater Tot.  I got in line and the guy in front of me got the last one!  They had to change the oil and it would have been 30 more minutes, I'm still mad if you can tell!  Oh well, there's always next year!

Oh and a word of advice, the key to eating all this is going in a group and sharing each one so you don't have a heart attack right there at the fair :)
