For my 31st birthday, yes my 31st, I asked for Miley Cyrus concert tickets and luckily, received what I asked for! I saw her at Milwaukee's BMO Bradley Center with the opener Icona Pop. I love a good show that gets everyone up on their feet and dancing and both Icona Pop and Miley Cyrus delivered.
Miley's stage what huge and impressive. Most of the set list came off her new Bangerz album, but there were some impressive covers added in and one song from her previous albums. She was clearly singing live and sounded great. While many have claimed her show is too raunchy, I disagree. There were a few moments in the show, but overall the concert had a high production quality, was fun, entertaining, and you could clearly see that Miley loves what she does. This love is infectious and makes her show even better. Also, by now everyone should know what to expect when going to her show and if that makes you uncomfortable, just don't go. Performers don't have to please everyone.
I did end up feeling a bit old at 31. While I thought I looked nice in faux-leather pants and a nice sweater, the rest of the young girls where wearing barely any clothes and with their parents. Advantage for me - I could legally drink, haha!
