Walt Disney World !!! |
I love Disney and pretty much everything Disney. I've been lucky enough to have been there many times over my lifetime. In November, I was getting a bit down with some unruly people around me and I just needed a pick me up, to go somewhere where I know people are excited to be and happy (well my meltdown as a 4 year old is proof to myself that Disney isn't always the happiest place), but anyways. Luckily my mom lives in Orlando and I was able to find some last minute airfare for a quick getaway.
The man, the mouse, and the castle |
At first it was as expected, very crowded. Once 7 pm rolled around and the main crowd left, it was much easier to get around (while still crowded, no where near normal levels). I ran up to Thunder Mountain and got on immediately! No wait! We then proceeded to hit up all the attractions, Peter Pan was the only attraction with a line and while we wanted to go, we passed on it to run around and do other things.
People line up early for the Christmas Parade, but know that there are two parades, choose the second one for easier viewing. There was also free sugar cookies and hot chocolate all around the park, be on the lookout for the life-size candy canes for where to find them. Also enough the snow on main street! Which seemed to be some type of foam, which don't worry, wasn't sticky at all and dissolved almost immediately.
The highlight though was the beautiful light show projected on the castle and insanely awesome fireworks! Hands down the best fireworks I've ever seen! While I didn't take a lot of pictures of other stuff, here are some of the fireworks.
City Hall all decked out! |
Main Street with snow still coming down |
Gorgeous! |
A little blurry but so cute with the kids on their parents shoulders watching |
A tad colorful :) |
They now have Starbucks there? What? Truly the happiest place on Earth! |
End of the light show
At one point fireworks were all around!
Now some of the fireworks!
At one point fireworks were all around!
And one more, the videos really don't them justice.
