December 13 - Lavender Bath Salts

I decided to make some homemade gifts this year and started with Lavender Bath Salts.  They are extremely easy to make, just Epsom salts, course sea salt, baking soda, and lavender oil.  This is a very economically gift to make if you have a number of people to buy for.

I added some white fabric I had laying around and some string to "jazz" it up a little.  I got the small glass jars from Dollar General and the three wine bottles where from um, personal use?  Ha ha, got to up-cycle when you can!

Recipe:

2 cups Epsom salts

1 cups Course Sea Salt

1/2 cup Baking Soda

Lavender Oil (however much you want, depending on how strong of a smell you want)

Combined all ingredients in a metal bowl (supposedly plastic bowls with soak in the oil, not sure if that's correct, but it's what I hear).  Once everything is combined, place in an air tight container.

December 11 - Special Present Under The Tree

December 11 - Wedding Ornament

This is not my ornament, but one that I made as a gift this year.  I saved a wedding program from a friends wedding and cut it into small pieces.  I them curled the pieces and placed it in a clear glass ornament.  When you shake it up you can see the names of all involved!

Walt Disney World !!!

I love Disney and pretty much everything Disney.  I've been lucky enough to have been there many times over my lifetime.  In November, I was getting a bit down with some unruly people around me and I just needed a pick me up, to go somewhere where I know people are excited to be and happy (well my meltdown as a 4 year old is proof to myself that Disney isn't always the happiest place), but anyways.  Luckily my mom lives in Orlando and I was able to find some last minute airfare for a quick getaway.

December 9 - Glittery Dove

I'm guessing by now you get that I love glittery things...and here is one another one, a glittery gold dove.  I have a box of these and they are slowly falling apart from years of use but I still got this one!

December 8 - 1st Tree

I have a couple trees up in the house, and this is the first one.  It's just a small 18" tree, but I love the way it lights up my bedroom corner.

December 7 - Flamingo and Pig

Outside I like to keep it classy - with a neon pink flamingo and pig!

December 6 - Star

How can you resist the classic 80s star?

I got two of these gorgeous Doves years ago from Pier 1 and they are still some of my favorites. 

December 4 - Old School Plane

I love the type of ornaments that are gold, delicate, and look very 80s ish in a way.  This helicopter is one of many different ones I have.

December 3 - Crystal Drop

I got these really simple but beautiful faux crystal drops on my trees.  I love how they play with the light of the tree.

December 1st - Hello Kitty

Been awhile, to get me back in the groove I'm going to try and post some of my favorite holiday decorations each day.  Today's decoration - a Hello Kitty ornament I keep on my novelty tree.
